Bod E Talk Coaching with Hillary Bender
Hello! I'm Hillary Bender. I live in Tremonton, Utah, with my husband, Bryce, and our sweet girls, Emma and Julia. My days are filled with sticky fingers, laughter, a rollercoaster of toddler emotions, and many messes. However, even though my days are frequently hectic, I feel grounded by the simplicity of the Bod E Talk principles. I am empowered by the knowledge and freedom that advocating for your health brings!
Here are a few fun bits about me
I received a B.S. in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Nutrition from Brigham Young University-Idaho. My studies introduced me to how truly incredible our bodies are and how they function for our good. My goal as an ACE Certified Health Coach is to help you discover how amazing YOUR body is!
Let's find love and respect for your bodies! I rarely follow a recipe exactly. If you watch me cook, you will find me adding uncalled spices and often doing ingredient swaps. I love flavor, and I LOVE trying new foods. Let's share yummy recipes! I love to compete with myself. If I were to compare my running, cooking, or home decorating skills with others, I wouldn't have to look far to find someone way better than I am. So, I love setting benchmarks and goals to improve myself continuously! For example, at the beginning of 2020, I set the goal to run my first marathon.
I wanted to complete 26.2 miles while I was 26 years old. It was incredibly daunting as I barely trudged through those initial 2-mile runs in January, but by June, I felt so fulfilled to cross the finish line! Let's thrive on self-improvement!
My Personal Bod E Talk Story
My health journey started in June 2016 when I was introduced to Bod E Talk. After living in Bolivia for 18 months, I came home and found I was the heaviest I had ever been. I honestly didn't know where to start when letting go of the extra weight. I assumed that the weight would magically disappear if I exercised every day. However, it didn't. Through Bod E Talk, I learned how to develop a healthy relationship with my body and was given the education and tools to succeed. My biggest "aha" moment was learning to take each day at a time. I didn't need to wait until Monday or the new year to restart my goals. I could continually work on my goals and make my next choice great. As I have developed healthy habits through the Bod E Talk principles, I navigated life as a newlywed, six different moves, pregnancy, and life as a new mom. I have learned patience and success in the journey. I have received so much JOY from learning to listen to my body. I thrive on personal connections. I LOVE being your support system and biggest cheerleader. When you need extra motivation, a pep talk, or to brag about your success, I want to be the first one you call!
